Real Art for Growing Hearts
Exploring what it means to be human through honest, inclusive, and artfully crafted theatre experiences.

Little Blue Theatre Company is a Nashville, Tennessee based organization producing professional theatre for and with young people, from birth through adolescence. We believe that children are full human beings who deserve art that reflects the complexity, wonder, and depth of their experience. By centering inclusion, artistic excellence, and authentic collaboration, we nurture empathy, imagination, and belonging in everyone who engages with our work—honoring children not for who they will become, but for who they already are.

About Us

Because play is serious work.

Little Blue Theatre Company was founded by three theatre educators with more than fifty years of combined experience in Theatre for Young Audiences. Rooted in justice, equity, and inclusion, Little Blue creates safe and holistic spaces for young people from birth through age 18.

We produce inclusive, high-quality theatre for and with young people—honoring their full humanity and the richness of their diverse experiences, abilities, and emotions. Our work explores big feelings and brave ideas through art that is honest, imaginative, and deeply human.

By centering inclusion, artistic excellence, and authentic collaboration, Little Blue nurtures empathy, imagination, and belonging in everyone who engages with our work—celebrating children not for who they will become, but for who they already are.

Events

We have a lot happening!

March 13th - 22nd, 2026
A professional production
For Ages 0-6 and their Families
Presented at the CPAS Black Box
Located in Centennial Park
Created by Samantha Provenzano

How do you smile? With your mouth or with your eyes? Does it show on your face or just on the inside? We all have different ways of showing, sharing and processing our emotions.  All Smiles is a joyful, interactive performance that celebrates the full spectrum of emotion—because every feeling is a good feeling. Through color, movement, sound, and play, we invite our youngest audiences to explore what it means to feel happy, sad, surprised, calm, and everything in between.

All Smiles reminds us that emotions are not problems to fix, but experiences to share. In a world where young people are often told to “calm down” or “cheer up,” this performance offers something radical in its simplicity: the freedom to feel, knowing that those feelings are OK.
