Bring inclusive, developmentally grounded theatre straight to your classroom, library, or community center. In the 2026-2027 school year, we are touring our most recent production, All Smiles.
All Smiles is a 40-minute, sensory-friendly performance designed for ages 0-6, appropriate for preschool through first grade. It can play in any space, especially a classroom, and it works for children learning in any language.
Our tour qualifies for Student Ticket Subsidy funds from the Tennessee Arts Commission!
All touring shows come with curricular guides tied to TN Academic Standards.
Workshops to extend the learning are also available.
About The Show
All Smiles
For Ages 0-6

Two factory workers make smiles all day. But one day the smile machine breaks — what are they going to do? The audience joyfully joins our two friends in exploring what it means to smile, and that exploration can lead to big feelings. Figuring something out might leave us overwhelmed, over-excited, or sad, and we might need help coping. Maybe this journey leads our friends to discover that all smiles look different on different faces.
Grounded in SEL practice and research, All Smiles teaches three regulation techniques. When a character becomes dysregulated, the audience helps them through it — children practicing the strategies by offering them to someone who needs them. Empathy and co-regulation, learned through play rather than directly taught. They leave with tools they didn’t know they were learning.
All Smiles was developed at Alliance Theatre with the Marcus Autism Center and revised by Little Blue’s fully Autistic creative team. Every performance is sensory-friendly by design, not by accommodation.
⭐ Pricing
Little Blue's tour runs on a mixed-access model. Grant funding from the Tennessee Arts Commission and other sources lets us offer a set of free performances each semester. Reduced rates are available for Title I and public schools, and our standard rate applies to schools and organizations booking outside of grant-supported programming.

The additional same-day rate applies to a second performance at the same site on the same date.
Post-show workshop
$250 per visit, for up to 50
students. Workshops run 30–45 minutes and happen in the performance
space right after the show. They're led by our performers, all of whom
are teaching artists. If you'd like to split students into smaller
groups in separate rooms, we can do that at no additional cost.
Travel
Performances more than 25 minutes outside
Nashville may include a small travel fee of $50–$100 depending on
distance.
Community Tier
We hold a fixed number of free performances each semester, funded through grants. These slots fill on a first-come basis, so reach out early. Most community dates are on weekends.
Book Your In-School Performance
- Email us at tour@littlebluetheatre.org or call or text 615-543-6007 with your preferred date range, what type of site you are, and any questions about tier or STS.
- We respond within a couple of business days.
- Once we agree on date, tier, and setup details, we send a booking agreement.
- You sign it and we add you to the tour calendar.
- Invoice is sent after the performance. Terms are Net 30.
What to Expect?
- We arrive 30 minutes early to set up and will need uninterrupted access to the performance space.
- Students are welcome to come into the space 10 minutes before performance time.
- Your students enjoy a gentle but engaging performance designed just for them.
- We pack up quietly and leave the space as we found it (15 mins).
- Optional: If a post-show workshop was also booked, we will conduct the workshop in the performance space.

Space & Safety Requirements
By submitting the form above, you have confirmed that the performance space you provide (classroom, library, multipurpose room, etc.) is safe, accessible, and free of hazards. Little Blue Theatre Company reserves the right to adjust the performance setup to ensure student and performer safety.
Audience Capacity
All Smiles is designed for up to 50 young audience members ages 0–6. This number does not include teachers and caregivers. Little Blue requires at least a 15 to 1 ratio of young people to adults in the audience. We will work with you to determine an appropriate audience size based on the space and student needs. Little Blue Theatre Company may recommend splitting groups to maintain a safe and developmentally appropriate environment.
Sensory/Accessibility Needs
All performances are sensory-friendly by design. Please share any access, sensory, mobility, or behavioral needs in advance so our performers can prepare appropriately.
Photography and Video (School/Center)
Photography without flash is permitted. Video recording of the performance is not allowed without prior permission from Little Blue Theatre Company. If you do take photos please tag us on our social media feeds!
Photography and Video (Little Blue)
Please let us know if Little Blue Theatre Company may use photos or video taken at your school, center, or library to help share and promote our work. For student safety, images will show students from behind or with faces blurred unless otherwise permitted by the facility or parents/guardians.
Payment and Invoicing
An invoice is sent after the performance. Payment terms are Net 30, including for schools using STS. Your STS award is reimbursed to you after you’ve paid us, so it doesn’t change when our invoice is due. Tell us STS is in progress and we’ll send the signed STS Artist Invoice Form along with our invoice so you have everything you need for your closeout.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Performances canceled with fewer than 7 days’ notice are subject to a fee of 50% of the performance cost. This fee is waived if the performance is rescheduled to another available date in the same season. Weather closures, school closures, and illness outbreaks are always rescheduled at no charge.
Changes to Group Size or Logistics
Please give at least 48 hours’ notice of any changes to student numbers, schedule, or space. We’ll do our best to accommodate, but some changes may not be possible.
Liability
Little Blue Theatre Company maintains liability insurance for all touring activities. All staff, actors, and technicians are background checked. Schools and participating organizations are responsible for supervising students and maintaining a safe environment throughout the visit.
Illness Considerations
If your school is experiencing a communicable illness outbreak or has an active health advisory, please notify us in advance so we can determine whether rescheduling is necessary.
